This is my second business class experience on Japan Airlines.

My first experience on JL21 from HongKong to Tokyo didn’t meet my expectation as I mentioned in previous post.

FLIGHT: Japan Airlines JL26 HongKong – Tokyo/Haneda Business Class SKY SUITE 3

Okay, now, I will introduce how Manila flight was.

But, let me introduce the airport experience first.

Japan Airlines (JAL) has own ‘Sakura Lounge’ in Manila NAIA Terminal 1.

It might be because JAL doesn’t have strong partner in Philippines. Its national flag career Philippine Airlines is much closer to All Nippon Airways (ANA) and the second biggest Cebu Pacific is low cost career.

JAL provides good lounge by its own. It was recently renovated.

It is not big lounge, but is clean and comfy.

Red is JAL’s corporate color. It comes from Japan’s national flag.

I feel the lounge is so Japan’s. It is not just because of the design.

Filipino receptionists all speak Japanese.

And, the lounge serves Japanese curry.

Do you know how much we Japanese loves curry? lol

In Japan, both ANA and JAL serve curry in their lounge actually.

You don’t want just Japan here in Manila? Don’t worry. This Sakura Lounge has also San Miguel, Philippine’s most popular beer.

I have experienced some lounges in Manila. Philippine Airlines’ renovated Mabuhay Lounge is still the best but this JAL’s follows it.

It means it is the best lounge in Terminal 1 (Mabuhay Lounge is located in Terminal 2).

I will introduce inflight experience on next post. Stay tuned!
