My second night in Sydney.

The hotel I stay is Shangri-La hotel Sydney.

(Right building is Shangri-La. Left one is Four Seasons)

I booked a room via AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts, a part of benefits for AMEX Platinum card holder.

It has quite nice offer!

Room charge is 295 Australian dollars which is about 210 US dollars at the time.

And additional benefits are

1. Noon check in, when available

2. Room upgrade upon arrival, when available

3. Daily breakfast for two

4.Guaranteed 4pm late check out

5. Complimentray WiFi

6. USD100 food and beverage credit

Wow! I pay only USD210 and am given USD100 food credit. It means I can stay at Shangri-La only at USD110!

I have dinner at this restaurant to use the credit.

I really tried but cannot eat and drink for USD100. I waste about USD30 🙁

Anyway I am satisfied with good Asian meal.

Okay, now I introduce my room.

It has got a classical taste with sitting facility at window.

I understand why the window has it.

It is because the room has this great view!

It is sooo Sydney!

Bath amenity is L’occitane.

I cannot believe luxury hotel at this level is available only around USD200 with food credit USD100.

I google and find this hotel used to be ANA hotel.

That’s why I feel at home? lol

ANA hotel is Japan’s hotel chain under All Nippon Airways network.

I know one night at Shangri-La costs USD400 up in Tokyo.

Shangri-La Sydney is very cost effective and budget friendly!

I love hotel! Guess what hotel I stay on my 3rd night in Sydney.
