I have sent USD2000 to Japan from Guam.

I needed Japanese yen in my Japan’s bank account to pay for credit card.

My main bank here in Guam is ANZ.

It is my second ANZ account as I have it also in Australia.

I prefer to complete everything online but international wire transfer requires a over-counter transaction.

It always takes more than 30min…

And it costs USD54 as handling charge.

(USD50 for ANZ, USD4 for receiving bank).

By the way, USD1 used to be JPY123 just a few months ago.

It is now JPY117.

It means USD2000 I sent will be JPY234000 though it used to be JPY246000.

I am shocked. Need more Japanese yen!!! lol
